Pastor C. C. Kuriakose, born and raised in a traditional Knanaya Jacobite family in the village of Kallissery, adjacent to Chenganoor, India, is the son of Annamma Cherian and Abraham Cherian. At the tender age of seventeen, he experienced a profound spiritual awakening and embraced Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord. Subsequently, he was baptized in water in 1988 at the IPC Rourkela, Orissa, and shortly thereafter received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Guided by the Holy Spirit's counsel, he dedicated his life to the service of the Lord Jesus Christ and began theological studies at the Bible college.
Pastor Kuriakose completed his Certificate in Theology (C. Th) at Faith Theological Seminary, Manakala, and subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Theology (B. Th) from Grace Bible College, Delhi, followed by a Master of Theology (M. Th) in Bible Exposition from Cohen Theological Seminary. During this academic period, he was also involved in instructing B. Th and M. Th students. Following his ministerial service at a Bible Church in Delhi, he, guided by the Holy Spirit, initiated a pioneering mission, Christ for the World Mission, in Mumbai in 2002.
In 2007, Pastor Kuriakose’s ministerial trajectory led him to the United States, where he served as the senior pastor of Sharon Fellowship Church in Oklahoma until 2011. Thereafter, he pastored Philadelphia Pentecostal Church in Chicago from 2011 to 2016. In July 2017, he undertook Chaplain Residency at Advocate Sherman Hospital, and has since been engaged as a full-time Chaplain specializing in Spiritual Care and Counseling with Advocate Hospitals.
Pastor Kuriakose is married to Shanti Kuriakose, who holds a Master of Science (M. Sc) and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) in Mathematics from the University of Mahatma Gandhi, Kerala, and a Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) in Mathematics from the University of Mumbai. Her professional background includes roles as a High School teacher in Andhra Pradesh and Delhi, as well as a Junior College teacher in Mumbai. The couple is blessed with two daughters, Christa and Christeena.
