Pastor. Thomas V. Koshy

Our Pastor Pastor Thomas V. Koshy was born in Thatta, Pathanamthitta Dist, Kerala, India, to the late Pastor V. T. Koshy and Mariamma Koshy On 9th of May 1950. At a very young age of ten years, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Later on, he obeyed the Lord's commandment in the believers’ baptism on 5th March 1967 and the same year on 12th of May he was baptized in the Holy Spirit. During his anointing by the Holy Spirit, he received the blessed calling by God to dedicate himself for the Lords ministry. After two years of college education, answering the special call of God, Rev. Koshy followed the footsteps of his father and grandfather late Pastor T. G. Oommen, the former general president of The Indian Pentecostal Church of God.

Rev. Koshy completed his theological studies and mission training from Salem Bible School, Kottayam and Hebron Bible College in Kumbanad and also Bethel Bible Institute, Delhi. He had the privilege of mentorship under the prominent Bible Scholars and pioneer leaders of the Pentecostal movement in Kerala, such as Pastors K. E. Abraham, T. G. Oommen, P.M. Philip and C. K. Daniel. After a short period of mission work in Thodapuzha, Kerala, with a vision of the north Indian mission fields, Rev. Koshy went to North India. For almost 20 years, he was planting and pastoring churches in the North Indian States of the Indian Pentecostal Church (IPC Bokaro Steel City, Bihar) IPC Gandhidham (Gujarat), IPC Chembur (Mumbai) and IPC Dombivili (Maharashtra).

In June of 1988, Rev. Koshy was appointed as the Pastor of IPC Hebron, Houston, Texas, and ministered there for six years. In July 1994, he was invited by India Christian Assembly, New York, to be their pastor. After nine years of successful ministry in New York, he moved to Chicago, Illinois to be the pastor Gilgal Pentecostal Assembly and ministered there for two years. In July of 2005, he took charge the ministership of IPC Tabernacle until 2008. Afterwards he was the minister of the Dallas Pentecostal Church for 7 years. After 10 years of blessed ministry in Dallas, he relocated to Chicago to be the Pastor of Shalom IPC Chicago.

For the last 48 years he has been laboring in the vineyard of the Lord. He is one of the senior ministers of the Indian Pentecostal Church in the United States. He has held many responsible positions during his blessed ministry. He was the vice president of IPC North American Eastern Region and served as the convener of the 9th IPC Family Conference held in Dallas in 2008. God also enabled him to serve for 6 years as the president of IPC North American Midwest Region. Along with being the minister in charge of Shalom IPC Chicago, he is also the president of IPC North American Central Region and IPC General Council Member.

Pastor Koshy and his wife Aleyamma are blessed with two children, Grace and Abraham and four grandchildren. They live in Dallas and serve the Lord.
